3129102831.jpg SHENANDOAH - The last remaining railroad station building in Shenandoah is beginning the long process of being refurbished to preserve a piece of anthracite region history.

Joseph Anczarski, owner of Mark's Supply Company, Shenandoah, bought the former Pennsylvania Railroad freight station, located at the south end of Shenandoah near the Gold Star Bridge, in 1963 as a warehouse. The station was constructed in 1910.
"I bought it for storage and that's all it's been used for," Anczarski said.
