although I'v never heard of anyone throwing anything but
Trash & Dead Bodies over them, Give it a try & let us know.

HOWEVER, if there is a Spring (or creek) there somewhere,
Definaly check that out. Everyone needed a rest, even the horses
after the climb.

p.s.

they would also make great places to throw stolen items
and hot guns, etc.

I agree. It definitely would be worth a look see. Who knows what is down there. Take some pictures and let us know what you have found.

Have you searched the overlook itself? If people have been frequenting the area for that long it may be worth the effort. I think I'd also give the bottom a walk about.

Yes, I have searched the overlook. I found the usual clad and trash. I also found a brass cap from an old metal paint tube. (someone must have been painting a picture of the view) A broken pocket watch, aluminum tags and something I didn't expect; a filled in foundation at the very top. A look at an old map verified the existance of a building, and a road leading to it.

I would check at the bottom. Erosion moves things alot farther then most people think. Just be careful where you step, remember what rolls down hill??

Actually, people used to use this location to leap off with hang gliders. Hmmm...
