Somewhere in my archive a couple of years ago I read about a wrecked ship (barge, boat, etc) in the Allegheny River between Kittanning and Ford City that was supposed to have been carrying a quantity of <something>. This came up in a conversation the other day and I was looking for the reference but I can't find it in either the Kellyco "Site Locator" booklet or the "Forts, Camps, and Batteries of Pennsylvania" book. I could've sworn it was in one of those two because they're specifically related to researching detecting spots.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else, or know where I might have seen that? I'm sure it's long gone, by the way, with all the dredging and damming over the years...I'd just like to know that I'm not losing my mind and that I actually did read it somewhere!
