Hi, new here.. I know this thread a bit old but does anyone know of anywhere near Altoona/Roaring Spring area that you don't need to pay for to look for any stones..amethyst, emerald, fools gold..basically whatever.. I don't own a metal detector, and haven't really done this before but I like stones and different gems, metals, etc. And figured it would give me something to do when the weather is nice. Thanks!
