I know this is an old thread, BUT... I've resurrected it just to let everyone know that if they have questions regarding the site they should contact me as CC101 is no longer working on the project. Surprisingly enough I'm receiving some traffic from this old thread (about 10 hits a week).

I bought this site from CC101 in early September. Since the purchase I've given the site a complete overhaul (which is still in the process, I haven't officially decided that the overhaul is complete and the site "reopened") and hope to continue the site with the same enthusiasm that CC101 did.

I'm currently looking for (and in some cases finding) CRHers who are willing to help with the content on the site as well as lining up some amazing deals on Roll Hunting supplies with various supply companies. My unoffical "official reopening" date is set for the beginning of November at which point I'm planning on giving away some T-Shirts and various other items to registered members.

If you have any comments / suggestions / feedback on the site I would love to have them, and if you're interested in helping in any way then also please let me know.

Thanks
SpringCypress

Hello springcypress
I went to checkout your site, very nice looking site by the way, and saw the code to add your banner to another website. I tried the code as copied from your site, but it would not work. The banner would not show up. I got to looking at the code and seen your (" ) marks were italic as show in the original code from your site below.
Code:
<a href=”[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/”><img[/url] title=”Coin Roll Hunt Banner” src=”[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/coinrollhunt-1.jpg”[/url] alt=”Coin Roll Hunt Banner”/></a>

I went through the code and made the (") marks normal and it worked fine, as show in this code:
Code:
<a href="[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/"><img[/url] title="Coin Roll Hunt Banner" src="[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/coinrollhunt-1.jpg"[/url] alt="Coin Roll Hunt Banner"/></a>

Although the code shown above worked, the banner had the nasty looking purple border around it and the tittle was still not showing up, so I put a little extra code in to make the border=0, which got rid of the purple border, then simply took the tittle out of the code as I couldn't get It to work anyway. It all might work with "PHP" or some other type of code but not for regular "HTML", Also, when you placed the mouse over the banner it showed "Coin Roll Hunt Banner" which is ok I guess, but insted of showing that I change the code on my site to show your "URL" (www.coinrollhunt.com). I also added the code "target="blank" so that your page would open in a new window, while leaving my page in the background. So,,, the code shown below is what I ended up with on my site.
Code:
<a href="[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/"[/url] target="blank"><img src="[url]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/coinrollhunt-1.jpg"[/url] alt="[url]www.coinrollhunt.com"[/url] border="0"/></a>

You can see the final results on my link page shown here.

I hope all of this is ok and didn't confuse you too bad. I have an awkward way of explaining thing sometimes. ;D

All in all, I think if you simply change your italic (" ) quotation marks to normal (") then all should be fine and the code would work on most websites...

One more bit of info. If you would like to show your banner in this post, insted of just having the "text link" you can go back into your original post here and modify the code for your link as shown here:
Code:
[url=http://www.coinrollhunt.com/][img]http://www.coinrollhunt.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/coinrollhunt-1.jpg[/img][/url].
Oops,, sorry, coincollector101 would have to modify the original post....
It would then show up like this:

Again, it's a great looking site and I'm happy to have it as an addition to my site.
Have a great day, Leon...

Thanks Leon. I think I've got it fixed now. I've run into the same sort of problem before. I'm not sure why it does it, but sometimes when I copy HTML from Dreamweaver into WordPress, WP mistakes certain characters and replaces them with their &xxx; codes. Unless I switch the editor in WP from Visual to HTML I don't notice that the characters have been imported incorrectly.

I appreciate you adding my banner to your site. Why don't you add your site to the directory? The submit a site link should be just above where you found the funked up code. I can't promise that I'll send you a lot of traffic, but I might send you some... and links never hurt.
