Saw this guy hanging out while messing around with the new camera in the backyard today.

No wren; wrens are smaller & brownish in color.

Looks more to be a mockingbird, very plentiful here. Had to find out if they're in AZ, yep but not as "musical" ...read the article. http://www.northrup.org/photos/mockingbird/

My guess would be mockingbird also. My book shows them in AZ & Michigan where I live, but I have never seen one. Common as robins in Florida where we sometimes winter.

Your pic is much nicer than the one in my Audubon book. Good job!

Good call RR, I'm not one for birds unless it's a gamebird, and an interesting read to boot. :read2: I've noticed this one is pretty noisy, not "musical" at all, and pretty fearless of people as well.
