Greetings,
If I haven't been around much it has mostly because I have been planning and preparing for this year's solar eclipse. I ventured to Casper, Wyoming in order to experience and photograph the event. I came back with some treasures in the form of an amazing experience and some very lucky pics I was able to capture using my telescope. I thought I would share in case anyone is interested. Experiencing totality was quite amazing. It got really cold leading up to it. Then the lighting got an eerie look to it, then the last moments before totality it darkened quickly. Looking at the sun the corona was obvious and also so were the prominences shining bright red. As I looked around I could see Venus and some stars and looking to the horizon in any direction looked like a nice sunset. Totality was over in about 2min 45sec.

Thanks! The pics I posted above were taken without filter. During the partial phases I used a full aperture Thousand Oaks mylar white light solar filter but removed it for totality.
