Maybe they will be free - who knows - lots of strange stuff going on in the world of metal detectors.

Here’s something from an Italian website - probably via Google translate - says December

The two pointers with eye-catching design look similar and use a pulse inductiontechnology. Moreover, the products are completely water resistant and have a power supply system with AA batteries. They come with LED light and 3 levels of sensitivity. An alarm system has been inserted in these products that is activated after 5 minutes of unused pin pointer. This mode is useful if the researcher lost the pointer during the search.”

Hope they get these on the shelves quick. Be nice to stick with first Texas when buying my new pointer. Lost my garrett carrot a few days ago.

They're available any day now. Price is
$129 using dealer coupon code. I assume this is for both which are same
Except for color and name. I've decided
To go for the tek point over the new Minelab pro point 35 for these reasons:

Pulse induction
Deep but adjustable
Good in hi mineral soil and won't false
2 year warrantee
Abrasive resistant housing
( I push mine into the dirt)

I admit I've never been a fan of pinpointers. Main reason when I need one to find the target, it doesn't go deep enough. i think the manufacturers use the excuse that you don't want good depth. I call B.S. on that one. If you don't want good depth then you ought to be able to easily turn it down. haven't seen any depth numbers on these pulse induction units, but they have to be better than what's been on the market seeing how they have three different power levels. And the price is right, too.

Just saw another post Carl said 3.75" on max setting on a nickel (5 cents). So a gold ring ought to be nearly the same or even better.

The last PI pinpointer I had interfered with the signal of all of my detectors, drove them nuts, like EMI. Hopefully this one will be more localized to the hole.

Supposedly that is one of their selling points on this one is no interference.

It has 16 different frequency shifts you can cycle through. Hunted with the final version for 6 hours yesterday and had zero interference with my T2 Classic.

Manufacturers don't need an excuse. Pinpointer depth is limited by physics, not by the whims of marketing folks. A 1/2" coil will never get the depth of a 10" coil on common targets.
