I commented I had sent it to fisher and in their reply nothing was found wrong with the unit I was asked what batteries I use & I replied lithium batteries they said (Felix) thats what they suspected & for me to use alkaline. In reply to my comment I received a Lol.
And now I would like to return the Lol with one of my own for today I received the unit back with a pair of alkaline batteries & the fpulse is working just as it should.

I guess there must be other issues! But as you are I am glad the issues with mine was The difference between alkaline and lithium batteries not in the battery chemistry Per se but what they do to the function of the fpulse.
