Fisher F Pulse problems

F-pulse set on medium sensitivity...

In air, 6-7" from point or 3" from side it will detect a Seiko 5 self winding sports watch.

It will detect a steel computer case in air at 24-30" off the point, maybe the one that beeps all the time is the "LRL model".

The unit described sounds like it is Monty Python level broken, think about the parrot...

My guess is wire scrap wedged in with the coil or a surface mount component scraped off when packaging it into the case.

OK, best of luck - I hope it works out to your satisfaction.

I did check with Felix and he tells me that he invited you to send it in, but cautioned that if it checks out OK at the factory they will send you a new one which also checks out OK. After that if it has the same issue then the problem is either environmental or user related.
