Away from pretend Capodimonte.
This is the jug I mentioned in my last post.We were in England on holidays recently ,did not see any of these anywhere which was a bit disappointing .It seems they may all be in America. It is 6"inches high,the smaller one of many different sizes they made.

That's really nice, but I do hope you obtained it from a reliable source that guaranteed its authenticity. As with all pottery types that command high prices, fakes abound, and lots of modern fake Martinware gets offered on fleabay (mostly face jugs and bird tobacco jars, made in the 1990s). The very modern stuff can usually be easily distinguished by its weight... lighter pottery, rather than the very heavy stoneware of the real thing.

Of a former collector who died.
So I do know it's history.
It is a good thing,even though it was not a bargain
