Good article. They are going to have to do something creative for sure. HH Mark

Come on now, you are too a Swami of finances. If gold goes that high, you won't be able to wear your rings in public or someone will cut your fingers off to get it! And there will be a lot of instantly rich people who have been hording gold through the past few years. Heck, I may be a thousandaire myself! Seriously, if gold was to reach that spot price I would imagine the price of everything else would be so inflated it wouldn't seem that great. I expect to see it go up near or slightly over a thousand bucks an ounce but that is just my conservative guess based on past performances. I hope silver follows suit. Just looking at what junque I have dug from the ground there is a lot more silver than gold. Good reading. Monty

So our new currency will be worth a nickel for each one-unit bill?
And it would take at least 10,000 "nickel-bills to buy one troy
ounce of gold? What a deal. lastleg

Gold is up over $50 today pushing t back around $800. I wonder if that trend will continue?

I think gold will stabilize at around $850.00 or maybe $900.00
We saw what happen when PM, oil shot up to an out of proportion pricing.
I don't think that will happen again real soon.
Gas should stabilize at about $2.50 to $2.75 per gallon.
Save this, and check it out in April 2009, and see how close to being right it is.

I predict that gold will break the $1000 mark between now and April 2009.

I believe it could go as high as $1000.00 before April 2009.
But, well settle around $850.00 or $900.00 by that date.
I don't see it going to $1000.00 But, it's possable

Iran made an extremely large gold investment recently. It would be nice to buy gold without such a huge premium. I'll have to stick with silver for now.
