    buying foreign metals?

I was thinking the other day-a dangerous thing for me to do very much, and it occured to me that it may be beneficial to examine the currency exchange rates when looking to buy precious metals and find a way to take advantage.
But then I realized that I have NO idea how to do such a thing.

    Any ideas?

Good idea, but I do not know of any country that still makes coins in silver. I know you can get gold coins but any coin store would have a varity.

You can get foreign exchange but only paper money and you will pay through the nose. Go to any major airport and find the foreign exchange store. I think it would be almost impossible to get any coin in a large enough quantity to find silver.

I think the last Brittish silver was 1946 and Canada was around 1968.

I did a little more looking into it today and I doubt it'll work out. Seems once you work out the exchange rates it all evens out. At least the ones I looked at.

And then if you actually want the coins/metal shipped to you, the foreign postal rates will more than kill off any savings you made....

Should have contacted me direct - notifications don't work very well.
To answer your question you could go into Canada and spend Euros,
Swiss Francs and Yen. Go into Mexico with all of those plus dollars.
Not sure about the exhange rates in the caribbean island nations.
