Picked up more PMs!

This week I got 2, 1ounce pamp gold bars with assay cards and 1, PCGS Platinum half ounce coin 2007 (1/2 oz Proof) Platinum Eagles - PF70 DCAM PCGS. I dont colect coins but I couldnt pass up on the plat. $75.00 under melt!. This is gold, Mr. Bond. All my life I've admired its color, its brilliance, its divine heaviness. I welcome any enterprise that will increase my stock... which is considerable.

Nice score on the platinum. I don't have any platinum, but I like the Eagles. They currently have the highest premiums on platinum, so you got a great deal.

As far as the gold, I only buy gold coins since it is easy for me to tell if they are legit, by checking the weight, diameter, thickness, and of course general appearance.

I do not feel so confident in buying gold bars, although I imagine they are safe for the most part. Also, I have been able to get most of my coins for not too much over spot. I generally prefer old gold coins such as 20 francs, mexican pesos, sovereigns, etc. For some reason people here don't care much for them so you can usually get good deals on coins in great shape. Also like the fractional sizes of them.

I dont buy large bars just 1 ounce ones. The Pamps are a well known brand and the included assay card makes them a easy sell. I just keep them in the sealed package. I have double eagles too but their premium can be high.
