Those are nice coins. I was buying them about 6-12 months ago when the prices were down. I was able to get about 150 of them in varying years, in the plastic sheets like you described. I like them alot better than ASEs personally. For some reason, many of the ASEs I have owned start to develop weird spots after a couple of years in the tubes. Not toning, but almost cloudy spots that cannot be removed (at least by dipping them).

I have since stopped accumulating any more ASEs.

Sounds like you got a decent deal on the Maples.

PS You should check out Mexican Onzas/Libertads if you can get them at decent prices. If you like Maples, you will like them too I believe.

Sounds like those spots on your coins are "MILK SPOTS" I have many silver eagles and some years old and I use those little bags with the stuff that absorbs moisture I place them in the safe. I have found they keep the spots from happening.
