I don't know how many people here buy from the US Mint But, i just seen this
on their homepage
Update: Due to the continued, sustained demand for American Eagle Silver
Bullion Coins, 2009 - dated American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coins will not be produced.
That will be the first gap that i'm aware of since 1986 it's under Latest News or
American Eagle Coins section there won't be any Proofs either

Whats up with that Could that be the end of the American Silver Eagle being
made at West Point ? ?

I saw the same article &
thought the same thing.

Either it is a Typo From the mint

Or they only produce when Orders
are there.
Personally I Think they are charging too much of
a premium to get orders. or are afraid
Silver will Skyrocket right after they sell.

There will be NO 2009W eagles produced this year at all! proof or uncirculated!. And I am quite sure the 2009 bullion silver eagles wont be worth collecting as the mint made millions of them. Its a shame to put a gap like that in the W series of Silver eagles. I hope next year they will have 2010W eagles though!. I have almost all the Silver eagle proofs they have made all are in PCGS70 plastic!. Who knows, if they decide to make no more ever these I own could go up in value!
