I want to sell a krugerrand and don't know what to expect
How much should I expect to get from a dealer, and is it difficult to find a buyer other than a dealer?

BTW, I have never sold any of my gold or silver but I really want a certain truck and need to sell a coin to get it.

From my Google search; this appears to be a reputable company to get a quote to purchase your coin:

Looks like that place is great if you have more than 5.
I buy them, I pay spot for them. I sell them at $30 over spot.

Can't get better than spot and JewlerDave is as honest as they come. Great person to do business with.

I agree, Spot is good. Most dealers want to make alot more. They shoot themselves in the foot by trying to lowball.

The local coin guy here is a real ripoff artist, so if I were going to sell anything, I would do it thru a private individual or someone like kitco

Try to find a local investor face to face who will pay spot. I do just that in Georgia but of course if its not someone local to you there is shipping involved and the risk of the mail "misplacing" it. Dont let some pawnshop make his week on you though.

I would suggest you send it registered mail, with signed signature required.
That is how the diamond brokers send their stuff. I've even sent an item or two via registered mail.
Expensive, but well worth it. Each postal employ has to sign for the RM they receive into their hands, and have to do so at each stage of the process.
