I sold some sterling silver today!

I was happy, because I sold 8.27 ounces of sterling silver today for 215.00. It consisted of spoons, rings, chains, and misc. junk silver. Did I do ok? Im thing of selling my common silver coins for 20 times face, but Im not sure if I want to part with detecting finds! Im trying to raise money for a used car.

My refinery would have written a check for about $226 so you did good. There might have been some non-silver (fakes) in your lot. The diff is only $11 and that is about 10 grams or one ring being fake.
