    3% Over Spot

    I went to a coin shop Saturday and the guy there said he sells silver for 3% over spot. Is that reasonable? He also said that if I payed in cash I wouldn't have to pay taxes. What's up with that?

    That is a dollar over at the current spot price. That to me is a good deal. Plus cash is king, go for it.

    Yes that is a great deal. I live in a town of 400k and several shops the most prominent and actually nationally recognized, has a $4-$6 premium per OZ...yes per OZ. When I started buying bullion 3 years ago from them it was $1.50 or $1 per oz for 100 oz or more. And they hardly had any. Great deal!!!
