It was even higher earlier today, right now back under 36. Anything can happen with silver. I would not be surprised to wake up one morning and see it at 25 or 50.
I am glad it is up a bit, so I will not be tempted to buy anymore for a while. Every time it dips I feel the urge to buy a little more.

I just bought $338.00 worth for $270.00 on ebay so I'm still buying and a guy wants to sell me $90.00 worth at 22 times face value so I'm trying to get that money together for that.

From what I have been reading there is much physical buying overseas. Perhaps that is pulling up the Comex prices somehow?
I have decided if silver breaks above 40 on this recent run, I plan to buy some ZSL call options (double leveraged silver bear ETF) as "insurance" on my silver stash. That way if it falls again I won't feel like I am losing value like I did when it went from 50 to 33, as my options would go up in value and I could sell them for a profit at some point. If silver would keep going up my call options would eventually expire worthless, but it is worth it to me. Sort of like a farmer hedging his crop profits by getting put options on the futures.
This summer could be real crazy in all the markets. I could see silver push back up like it is going to 50 again, only to get slapped back down. I spoke to a coin dealer who has been in the market for years, he thinks we will push into the low 40s again soon, but that it will correct to the high 20s fast. And that it will not take off again till fall/winter where it will blast past 50. But nobody really knows for sure what will happen.
I still think if the stock market takes a big hit for some reason, it will at least temporarily pull down gold/silver like it did in 2008. Silver then went from 21 to 9, gold took a big hit too but I don't remember the exact numbers. I don't think gold/silver would fall as far percentage wise as they did in 2008 though because buyers are grabbing up physical now much more than they were then, on an individual and national level.

You would have only needed to know about it back in 1999 or so. You could get it for around 3 dollars per ounce. Think how good the coin hunting finds were back in that era, when silver was so cheap.

Jim back then, I didn't even keep 40%'ers. Not considered a keeper as it would tie up too much funds as no one would pay you for them. Now, I wish I kept every one that I threw back.
