Re: coins offered...silver like pocket change condition
yes...i got your email...
we spent a few hours yesterday with the family at the home....
i am hesitant really to do anything with the items....i have come to the conclusion that since my wifes boss is involved and her job...i may just want to stay out of this as much as possible...there are 3 brothers and 3 wives involved....his friend knows a guy who will sell to his regular guy at a good price....there was alot of that going around yesterday...what i am afraid of is somebody down the road saying something like...i could have gotten a better price for this or for that....or this guy did not pay enough for the stuff he bought or God knows what might be said...there might already be too many hands involved in this for really anyones good...and i have enough dealings with lots of people that i dont ever want to have my honesty called into question....my personal reputation as a honest guy is more important to me then a few dollars at the end of the day...
one of my locals said he paid 20x face value and another said he paid 23x face value....and gold they bought by weight...
there are now 2 safes in the home...the big one (gun safe) and a closet safe smaller....the smaller safe was opened yesterday and it was full of silver half's, and dollars, several hundred...all in plastic cases...none graded...but all encased and looking to me just as crisp as the day they were minted...late 1800 and newer....most i saw were 1930-40's...really nice coins for collections not scrap...
but i want to be safe and honest...i plan to step away unless asked in the future to help....i don't plan to volunteer again but if asked i will help where i can...

Smart move seeing there are family involved, also when I'm buying I buy at 25x the value and coins are up around 27.5 x right now.
