    fake silver

    hey i guess i have just started to wonder how can you tell if a ingot is fake or real? same with coins?

    On bars, if the silver plating isnt to thick, you can slowly slide a magnet down the bar and the silver will slow it considerably yet not stick. If it is a plated silver bar the magnet will slide off of it quickly when tilted. Other than that you can drill and acid test.
