was told gold in computers phone jacks, etc. was worth saving but a guy at a gold place said it was such low gold content that you could not make anything on it. just wondering if anyone has any imput on this.

Local gold buyers wont buy gold plated stuff but there are plenty of buyers out there who will buy ANYTHING with gold content in it. Worst case scenario, it WILL sell on ebay under scrap metals category.
