Found this online, bit of searching but still dont know what beach on the Gold Coast he found it on , anyone know ?

After reading into it a bit further and looking at the news clipping pic it shows him north of Surfers Paradise , it also mentions a northerly beach and the fact he thinks the gold may of come from a stone retaining wall , im guessing the beach at the Spit , im also suss the clues may be false to throw others off the trail.............
There have been gold nuggets found in coffs harbour and further north. Ballina had a gold rush on the beach for fine gold. The rush ended when it cost to much to process for the reward. There is a large gem/mineral field around the glen innes and further west area. It could be the result of the gold working its way down towards the sea
