Wow it's been a long time since I've updated my journal. Mr. Gilded and I were able to get out of the ark we've been hibernating during the NorCal deluge of awesome rains and check out the river. I haven't seen it change so much since the floods of 97'. One area where the trail goes over a bedrock shelf that has a chunky texture to it is now smooth and broken up and covered in a layer of volleyball size cobbles!



Thought about sampling there but didn't get around to it and it looked pretty scoured.

Got a few tiny pickers for just a bit of digging around.

Also spotted an 8" 90• iron fitting. Had to be from hydraulic right?

The clean up from our snifter bottles from last week's frolicking. Didn't take any hole shots. The river is still super high so it's all bank crevicing and looking around boulders.

Think we'll get out today as well before the rain returns.
