It's on it's feet.

This is what happens when your just to damn cheap to spend $10K on a used press brake that doesn't have half the capacity your looking for.

MM, looks solid! Is it bolted to the floor? All it needs to do is work for what you need it to do! Looks like your underlying project will be moving forward Soon!.............63bkpkr

Nope it's freestanding. I tried to purposely tip it over but no luck. I can't even pick on side of it up to move it, which is saying something since I can walk off with a SBC block.

My underlying projects will be moving forward soon enough. Garage needs to get bigger.

Yea. Got the box and pan brake to finish along with the wife's she shed. There's no end to the projects list for the forseeable future. On the plus side though, is my fab skills are returning so that makes me ecstatic.

Well, the die for my press brake is two to three months out with the holidays so it is broke down and in storage for the time being.

With nothing better to do I started construction on my CNC plasma table. I got the frame and part of the guide rails done. Have to get to town to pick up some more steel to finish the frame.

This thing turned out perfectly square too.

Found some more steel so the frame is done and welded out. Got the slat rails welded in. Pics later this weekend after I get the slats in. Lots of cutting for the slats.

Had a little time to work on the plasma. Ripping the slats out of 4x4x3/8 angle to keep the cost down and use up some of the crap I have laying around. 54+ inch rips with a 6" angle grinder really sucks.

Got four more slats in and a bunch of holes drilled and tapped for the rails. Sorry no pics. Drilled and tapped holes are boring.

Pardon my ignorance, but I've never been around a machine shop.

What does a plasma table do? :icon_scratch:

There is a method to my madness here. Trying to get anything fabbed around here with the mine is a real pain in the arse. No one wants to deal with the little jobs. Working on a screen deck in Fusion 360 that will be cut out and bent up with what I am building.

1/2 done with the slats. Only 12 more to cut out. Finished burning up the Harbor Freight cut off discs. Not impressed with them. Back to using Pferds. Depending on which Hypertherm I get I can do up to 1 inch plate with this.

You got work for it as soon as it is done.

On a side note, other shops may see it and decide they do not want some production table and contract you to build them one.

I got plenty of work for it when it is done. Including some AR500 and armor plating for some projects for us at our mines.
