I would suggest that you look at attending a Central Valley Gold Prospectors meeting. They are a GPAA chapter in your area and have some club claims. Local gold clubs are a wealth of information for locals and the newly infected. Good luck,,,, have fun.

If your just starting off a club or gpaa membership is a great tool. Prospecting is tricky enough but land status and finding an area that is open to prospect is almost just as hard as finding the gold itself. Joining the gpaa for me opened a lot of doors that would have taken a lot longer to accomplish.
