Well I found Sheldans article to leave out, like gazillion years, and some gaps in the story.
Understanding, the broad stretch of time concepts, it's understandable.
Some parts did seem to fall in line with Cayce, who he too, had limited understandings........ though was usually spot on.

If you would like to read another idea of our origins, read the series of books written by Zaccaria Sitchin, that are referred to as The Earth Chronicles. He spent over 30 years studying the stories of the ancient gods ( little "g") of Egypt, Greece, Babylon, Rome, India, and other parts of the Middle East and realized that the characters were all the SAME people; just given different names by the countries where they were operating. Those gods seemed to have great paranormal abilities that were actually just very advanced technologies. Dr. Sitchin translated the Sumerian cuniform tablets, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Latin writings of Rome, Greek histories, East Indian writings, and eventually came to the mesoAmerica areas of Central America and the northern parts of South America to translate the pictorial writings of the Incas, Aztecs, and Mayans. He was able to show excellent reasoning in how all of the gods were the same peoples operating all over the world.

While he was in Central America and Peru, he learned of an ancient story handed down by word of mouth for several thousand years. That story was called, "The Night The Sun Did Not Rise". Sitchin became very curious about that story after he realized that the area involved is on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE WORLD, from where Yehway granted Joshua his Long Day to finish the last, great battle they were fighting to take final possession of the Promised Land. The story of the long night was known throughout Mexico, Central America, and on into South America. There were no written records in any of these areas that had survived those many centuries, but he was able to track back the line of rulers of the different areas and get a close approximation of the YEAR. The story had included the names of the rulers of the areas he researched in and the year figure he came up with was the same year that Joshua got his long day. Imagine the information lost when the damned Spanish Conquistadors destroyed all of the codecs of the Mayans history on orders of the Jesuit priest that were with them. Only a very few of the Mayan storyboards survived.

Anyway, read Sitchin's books, starting with the first in the series entitled, "The 12th Planet". When reading the books in the Earth Chronicles series, you'll have to keep reminding yourself that the gods (little "g") are living entities with supreme technological abilities that made them look like paranormal beings.

One of the Sumerian tablets told of how the worldwide flood, that we refer to as Noah's flood, was generated. Supposedly, a very huge chunk of ice broke off of the ice pack on Antarctica and caused a tsunami that traveled over the entire planet.
