It seems to me that public interest in the supernatural and paranormal has died down in the past few years.

One might assume that with the development of new scientific understandings of our environment, that the general public has lost interest in place of hopes for a futuristic civilization dawning from current modern-day matters.

Another theory could be that do to the wide-spread capitalization of paranormal themes, that people have become desensitized to the idea that there are things beyond our comprehension. Modern media fantasizes stories of the supernatural in order to obtain the attention of what reminiscence of the investigatory movement still resides today. This only further pushing those with the potential to unlock these mysteries away.

Finally it could be that with all that is happening in our modern day, people simply do not want the distraction.

Any thoughts?

In todays world its very easy to fake a picture or video by using computer software. Fake videos have been done so many times now that people just ignore all evidence and move on. Its the boy who cried wolf syndrome.
