Whenever we have a steak dinner, its always compliment it with garlic fried mushrooms.
2 tps Parmesan Cheese
6 cloves Garlic
8 oz Portabella Mushrooms
8 oz Cremini Mushrooms (aka white or buttons)
2 tps Extra virgin Olive Oil
Dash Salt & Pepper
Slice mushrooms and place in a skillet over medium heat with olive oil.
Cook till soft...about 5 minutes
Seson lightly
Add pressed garlic and stir for 2 minutes
Add grated Parmesan Cheese
Remove from heat and immediately and stir
Cover until served
If barbequing the steaks, start cooking the mushrooms after flipping the meat
Let the meat stand for 5 minutes
Plate up and enjoy

They do look yummy. There's a restaurant near us that has stuffed mushrooms, 2 giant portabelles stuffed with I have no clue but they put crab meat Au gratin over it. It's a meal in itself...so delicious.

By the way, I'm fixin Salmon cakes stuffed with shrimp for Cristina's dinner tonite...she has a late Red Cross blood drive and will need the nourishment...with Plum wine, of course.
