Baileys Cream Cake (Or Irish Whiskey )

1/2 Cup Butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 Cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk

Glaze
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons Baileys Cream or Irish Whiskey
Slivered Almonds

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Combine baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk. Beat smooth. Spread into greased 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

Combine Confectioners sugar and Baileys or Whiskey...stir until smooth and fairly thin. Spread over warm cake and sprinkle with almonds.

You could mix a couple of drops of green food coloring in glaze if preparing for Irish Holiday!

Gypsy Mystery...when are you gonna start posting sugar-free recipes? ::)

Actually I just made a Pmpkin Roll where I substituted Splenda for Confectioner's sugar and it worked out great!..I'll try it with this one...but I'm not Irish :-\ so no green coloring!

Recipe sounds really good, but what would I do with the rest of the
Tullamore Dew? I guess I could have a few sips while tasting that cake.
Already have the Baileys in the fridge.
