Does anyone have any relics retrieved from the Battle of Tupelo, MS that they can post pictures of? My great-great-grandfather lost a leg there.

Hi, No relics, but I have Miller's Photographic History of the Civil War. It's an extensive collection of Civil War pics and probably has something in there. Let me know and I'll see if I can run some pics down. HH, Eric

I just completed a research trip going from Charlotte, NC to Mobile, AL to Selma, AL, to Birmingham, AL to Tupelo/Verona, and finally to Nashville, TN.

FWIW, my GGGF was Captain of Co. B, 1st MS (Johnson's) when mustered in as "Mooresville Darts". Shoot me a backchannel if you will. Am researching a book on Selma and have been all over Lee County, MS with several folks detecting. An interesting battle together with Old Town Creek.

Am seeking Selma relics, made there and found elsewhere or recovered there.
