Old Choctaw Homeplace
My Son found this place while deer hunting, I checked it out today with my detector.
There were only a few foundation rocks, & an old hand dug well with a 'smelly critter' floating in it.
I found toy truck, brass items, fruit jar lids, lid that says: 'toilet creme', , compact lid, clock parts, pocket watch parts, shell casing, shotgun brass, part of a school seat, etc....
Had a nice relaxing time.

What a nice selection of goodies from that place! Sure looks like a promising site!
Good luck on the returns!

Very cool. I know of some simular sites here in Osage Co and around the lake Eufaula area where I spent my gradeschool years. I am about to get my first MD and cant wait to get after it...I have nightmares about people beating me to it lol!

Thanks, keep us posted on what you find, most folks just walk by & never notice those old places,
But folks like us do.

That 'helmet' is actually the rear-end of a child's peddle car, if I'm not mistaken...
Those Picker dudes or that other guy Rick that restores old junk would prolly take a whack at it!
Nice prelim finds - did you get the critter out of the well, btw?

It's the front end of a toy truck, left the critter to rot.
