Got out early this morning before it got to hot. Thought I would get out before the skeeters and yellow flies got up! Boy was I wrong! Anyway I did about a 4hr hunt, the relics where few and far today must have been the full moon. Did manage to get a few nice bullets a eagle button and a 1st for me a round ball button. Also dug a small silver buckle and a very cool "Georgia Central. R.R. 1866" brass tag it says "Macon to milledgev'l way" #98. Never dug a R.R. tag before so I was pretty happy with today's finds! Didn't get the confederate button I was after today. I know there's a few buttons and maybe a plate left in this site! Think ill Waite and hit it hard when it cools Down this fall. Hope everyone is having a great 4th!

Just cleaned the ball button up with some diluted naval jelly and it has 98% of the silver gilt on it! Turned out nice!
