I found this bugle last week on some land that has relics from the Civil War on it. I am curious as to whether or not it is from that time period. It was about 2" deep and was found with the mouthpiece being held on by only the dirt that was inside of it. The inside of the mouthpiece appears to be copper or brass but the rest of the bugle is silver in color and does not attract to a magnet. The entire bugle is 6.5" long. If you look toward the mouthpiece end, at the bottom where there is a shark fin shape protrusion there is a number 2 printed on it. This is where it was broken off from something. I am not sure if it may even be a toy so I am hoping someone might be able to help me out. I have been looking online since I found it without any luck. Any feedback would be appreciated.
