Help with ID of a couple of items

I had the opportunity a few years ago to hit a old home place in downtown Aberdeen, MS and got some good civil war era stuff.
I don't think that the earring was period for 1865 because the back of it has a epoxy type material that was holding the clasp to
The main body.
The item above the bullet is what I have no clue about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My best guess is the top piece that holds on the lamp shade, called a finial or may be a coupling. I think the stones are lamp crystals.
