I don't detect parks very often so this was a welcome find.

If I recall those were sold for the visors of cars back in the 50's as a religious item to protect you on your travels

That's what I thought too until I looked it up and those were slightly different with clips on the back verses this with two straight pins.
Try doing a search of the title I used

I just recall my dad had one on his car visor If I recall it had like a safety pin on the back but that was over 50 years ago

My father said the same thing when I showed him this afternoon.
