3-ringer: Fired? Carved?

Would love to see your thoughts on this. Found this 3-ringer today and immediately thought "it's fired!" which would be a first for me.

But it has what looks like a ring near the nose, and is not flattened but pinched at the bottom.

Thoughts?

Alot of times a "ring" on the nose was made by the ramrod when loaded. I would definatly say that is a fired bullet. Congrats!
