Figurine has Red Coat solid Lead found in Creek Australia close to Building from1800s

not sure if anyone knows how old or what this is exactly? :) First Figurine I've found. Looks to be solid lead.
Has a tiny bit of Red paint on figurines coat and pink paint on face? Horse looks Black but could be just the colour of the lead
Also any tips on cleaning it up a bit without wreaking it would be great!!! 20170326_140347.jpg 20170326_140403.jpg

Most likely one of a set of children's toys. Not sure about the clean up, but I would start with a dry toothbrush, and then maybe some dish soap and water. Maybe there will be some identifying stamp under the horses belly.

Thanks do you have any idea of year? its solid LEAD think I saw they stopped making these after the 1900's but unsure will check the horse's belly now thanks :)
