I found this copper tag last month while using my metal detector .From what I could find out about local history the Western Maryland Railroad went through the area and made stops at different locations along the way .Farmers and businessmen would ship goods and products to Baltimore and other points south in metal cans or wooden crates that where identified with the copper name tags .After the crates where empty they would be returned to the shipper . Sorry the pic is upside down .I can not get it turned correctly photo (3).JPG
