Brand new here... actually new to detecting. I've found half dozen of these around our 1912 home in central Florida, Ocala. Appears to be made of copper or brass. stamped "C. G. Hussey & CO PA. "
I've looked up that company and they appear to be an old copper and brass manufacturing business in Pennsylvania.
This octagonal disc is 16mm wide and almost all of them have the stem coming out the back and making a right angle bend.
Registers 24-25 on my Equinox 800.
Has anyone else here ever seen one of these or know what they are?

Oh Lord , I hate those darn things ! Those were used to attach a certain type of roofing material. You will usually find piles of them around an old home/homesite .
