I have some factual information on some modern relics!
Very valuable relics!
A large shipment of modern weapons, in fact!
Buried in West (by GOD!) Texas!
Anyone interested ?
If can just about pinpoint the area!
With a deepseeker, I can pinpoint the area!
What kind of Help! Can you offer?
I am not refferring to money!
As I said, I can "pinpoint" the area!
So! What do you have to offer?
A buyer for the weapons ?
Something to dig the cache up with, although, with enough help, pick and shovels will work!
A strong back?
Some extra time?
This is a serious request!

Did you try asking your local gang members if they are interested in buying a large shipment of weapons?
Maybe you know where there is a buried cache of drugs as well.
I could be over reacting. It might be different in the U.S. and maybe it's legal to sell a huge shipment of modern weapons.
How modern are we talking? Are the police looking for this shipment?
I think it might be wise to explain yourself a little better!
Good luck!
Dave.

NO!
There is nothing illegal about this!
There are no drugs or smuggling or anything of the like involved!
The weapons were buried at the end of the 2nd World War.
By the U.S. Govt.!
This site is now on private land!
The burial is unknown to the present day owner of the land!
He leases the land to small businesses.
Presently no one is leasing the land.
All are small arms!
Rifles, pistols, etc.
Do you think, "I" ,Cptbil would be involved in a "shady" deal ?

My apologies, Cptbil.
I misunderstood the "modern" description, hence, the comments I made.
Those weapons are double my age, so I wouldn't consider them to be modern. It sounds interesting and I definitly have a strong back. The idea of escaping a really cold winter is tempting, but Texas is a liitle far for me.
Out of curiousity, why did the U.S. government stash those weapons there?
How deep do you estimate the cache to be?
If the profit excedes the cost of going there, I might be crazy enough to drive out, since I was crazy enough to drive to Mexico from Winnipeg (center of Canada) a few years back.
Keep us posted.
Dave.

Cptbil that sounds very exciting. But discretion would be expected for this sort of cache. My former stepfather said that he and two friends literally stashed two trucks of arms out west after they got back from Korea. Don't know how much of it was valid but didn't think to track it down due to liabilities. All three are long dead now and my only recollection of the story is of a cave that was not that hard to get to, but was closed up by explosives after the stash.

That said, if you get the goods, let me know what your price list looks like!

I would consider them "modern". My most shot rifle is a Springfield Armorys M1A, the design goes back to WWII (Garand). My fave pistols are the 1911 and the HP35 (45 auto and Browning High Power), both of WWII fame. I too would be interested in what is in the stash.

modern relics

According to my source and he was there when this happened!
The burial consits of ....
Hey Boomer!
Guess what?
There are cases of your Favorite, that's right.. The 1911A1!!
By the way, One of my favorites, is a Charles Daly, 3 1/2 bll, 45 acp!
(A 1911A1 cone!)
But!
Back to the main subject..
And! There are several cases of the Roaring '20s favorite gun...
Yep!
The Thompson!
And!... Boomer..
Also, The Predecesor to your now favorite rifle..cases of M-1s!
All of these weapons were prepared for shipment to the Pacific ...
In cosmoline !
When the War ended they were taken out... a buried!
I Know! That this sounds weird!
But it happened on Military Bases all over the U.S.
But! If you don't believe this happened check it out!
I am sure you'll be surprised at the results of your research!
One problem, to think about!
I would imagine that the "Thompsons" are full auto!
How's Uncle Sam going to like us digging up those?
You can all get busy tonight and tomorrow and check this out!
Then tomorrow night, we'll get serious about this!

Hey ARCO, check the 1940 field manual over at this site:
http://www.sightm1911.com/manual/manual.htm

Good stuff, great gun, all American. But honestly, every couple years one of these lost or buried armory tales pops up. Almost always treasure legend, not fact. Everyone knows the rules re:firearms in their respective states and whatever fed guidelines apply to sub-machine guns and mil ordinance.

Hey Cptbil, I referred your story to one of my apprentices who's heading out west tomorrow. He'd love to help out if he makes in to Texas but I warned him to wear his running shoes.

Well, it sounds nice. Still I have yet to hear of any large treasure being found. Sure there are tons of stories, but no stories I have heard of things really being found. Shipwrecks don't count. And people have to be looking for the treasure intentionally to count. And it has to have been found in the 20th or 21st century.

Anyway, I have heard of things like that concerning surplus weapons. Ever seen Terminator II??

If you do find it, save a M1911 for me. Love that gun!
