Recent Finds - 'Tumbled' Brass

Just thought I'd post some before & after pics of a couple of pieces I finished tumbling today!
I tend to tumble any of my finds that look rough after a wash with soap & water.

I feel tumbling helps to preserve them and makes them more interesting for display and as conversation pieces.
I don't tumble anything that might have a 'historical value' or that's considered 'rare'.

Let me know what you think... should I be tumbling or just leaving them as they come out of the ground? :icon_scratch:

Thanks for your post Pointman!
I'm just trying to show the members that everyday finds have display potential when they're all cleaned up.

I'd love to see the before and after pics of your finds! :icon_thumright:

I think they look fine. If there is no intrinsic value, then no reason not to clean
them up for show.

I use the 'down time' during the long winter days to tumble my 'less interesting' finds.
I currently have 6 piles of assorted finds to tumble... now it's just a matter of doing it! :laughing7:
