Got a skirmish site within seven miles of the house, swamp/wooded area. Not sure of details, just wondering if it might be worthy of more research. From the little I know it was not much of a fight, so would expect relics to be few and far between. But who knows.... mebbe the British or Colonials buried their payroll "on the second knoll east of the swamp under a lightning struck oak next to a snake infested palmetto thicket surrounded by briars and alligators"... dern, that sounds like just across the road from the house. Doubt the place has ever seen a detector.
