Quartz Chrystal's found in Arkansas.

I like to hunt for gems around the midwest states. These are some of the Chrystal's we found a couple years ago in Arkansas. I ended up with 5-5 gallon buckets full. I have found alot of clusters that are mostly laying out in my rock garden in front of my house. I even got lucky and found what they call a Phantom Chrystal which has black running through it.(last picture)

Sure is fun to dig those, (nice specimens).
I live just a few hours from that area where they mine, (Mt. Ida), being one place, plus we find crystals from OK
that have 'green inclusions' in them.

I have a super nice collection of phantoms and elestial crystals I have been collecting for years.. I am jeleous you got to go hunting there.. one of these years I will get there too.. I Love crystals I have all kinds, even some made in tealite candle holders too, one is clear quartz clusters and the other is deep dark purple amethyst that look so pretty when the candle is lit.. congrats on all your cool crystals..

did you dig at Coleman mines? I am always blown away at the quality of the crystals there. there are only 2 known places that have produced the clear rock crystal with this quality ARK, & a place in Russia. what fun!!

Mamabear, we found most of the big Chrystal's at Fiddlers Ridge. We got to go in right after they dynamited and opened up a new vein. If it had not started rain about noon that day and rain for two more days strait, we would have found a bunch more. We could not get back up the mountain before we had to head for home back in Iowa. we went to Jim colemans mine in arkansas what a disapointment only found very small pieces will NEVER go there again but i think we went to the wrong mine should have gone to Ron Colemans it cost a little more but i think it is the place to go .make sure you know where to go .any one got a really good place to go in arkansas where you can find clusters of crystal bildon
