    north GA gems

Anyone know of any gems to be found in or around the nottley river near blairesville GA. Going up for the weekend should be a good time no matter what but I would like to find some nice gems to take back to Minnesota with me. I've found some source saying the there are rubies in this area near track rock gap but nothing confirmed. Please any help would be awesome.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

I was hope to go to the river and look. I look and found a few small garnets and what looks to be a sapphire. It's blue and can scratch garnet. Anyway I head up to NC and went to a ruby mine and found a crap load and some more sappires. I am goign back to georgia in 2 months any better creeks you know of.

"Just don't shoot the red rocks with your slingshot"

Have a buddy that I work with who's from Clayton area - Told me about in his younger years (he's in his late 50's early 60's) about his uncle talking about how much better the red rocks shot through his slingshot. "Red Rocks" = Rubies. Jesus.
We all know Windows has a SAFE MODE but then what mode are you running in when your not in safe mode ~ Dangerous Mode ?
