TERMINATED.........
Hi all , havn’t been post’n lately, been busy trying to get all my images organized on my new lap- top . Anyway , a few weeks ago I took some pic’s of some of my minerals , to “run through the mill” ,start to finish,...just under 4,000 to go !! So , from the “mill” to T-net ,.. Will see how this work’s ?
584x369
Terminated Pink Tourmaline ,on slabbed Lepidolite
From the “dump’s” of the Stewart Lithia Mine , these two lit’ gems, apx. 4-5 carat ea., where found by my wife and I ,.. Back in the late 80's - early 90's
The Stewart mine is [was ?] owned by Pala International and ran as Gem’s of Pala . There are a bunch of holes driven into the same pegmatite ,.. Each hole has a name like Tourmaline Queen [Queen’s] , Pala Chief [Chief’s] ,lit’ Joe etc..but , for the most part they all link-up down below .
Anyway , I should do a bit of a recon mission and find out what’s really is open to the public , I know the question been asked here a few times ,.. And I didn’t have a definitive answer , real shame this !! There is a BUNCH of neat stuff coming from these San Diego Mines ,.. And I do have a few bit’s of my own .
I”LL BE BACK !! ........ Arnold Piganater...A.K.A Blindpig...

Re: TERMINATED.........
Hay thank’s Strickman , ..yes sir , A nice set of stones can get you places in life , .. trouble is one such place they often lead ya to.....
“No Problemo” there EU citizen , here are a few more pic’s
More Tourmaline : across bottom Bi-color found in the dumps at the Himalaya Mine [S.D. county, Ca.] . The blue stone [6+ ct.] on the left is my personal favorite tourmaline , the “top” isn’t terminated , but cut / polished . I’ll make myself a ring of it ,set it “as is” .. Someday . This blue stone an the two hot-pinks are from the dumps at the Stewart Mine , Pala ,Ca.
In this pic , you can see the Lipidolite that the stones are seated on , a bit better . This slabbed Lipidolite is considered “pocket” Lipidolite ,.. As it formed in a “Gem-Pocket” and so the crystalline structure is much larger then the more common “massive/vain” Lipidolite . This more common type of Lipidolite on it’s own right is excellent cabbing material ,just has a different look to it .
Terminated Zircon ; 18mm W x 16 mm T: , found Mud Tank / Harts Range, N.T. Australia
And this lit’ pig , been down and around , I found this when as a boy I lived in the N.T. Aus.
Had to get a lot of shot’s when we moved down there ,.. Didn’t help much ,.got a BAD - BUG ,... and to this day ,.. I can’t stop look’n and a lick’n Rock’s....

Re: TERMINATED.........
Nice!
The blueish bugger would be considered indigolite, yes?
It's a shame the geology is so eroded in Sweden...
Nice Zircon!

Hoo So beautiful! I really love zircon!! It's my favorite stone.
’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I say start mining ,....Snowflake's ,... I would consider them a type of Minerail crystal . And you have what ? , a good 8-9 months before that Swedish weather erodes these mountains away ??
