    Please help ID. From Dallas Texas

    Found in Chalk Hill /Eagle Ford area in Dallas when i was a kid. I broke open a rock w another rock and this was inside. Does anyone what kind of rock or crystal it is? Any help is appreciated.

    Could be calcite - a quick dip in citric acid should tell. Wash it afterwards in water.

    In acid (most acids really) it should begin to bubble.
    Geologists are gneiss, tuff, and a little wacke.
