thanks in advance for helping me out gang....i found this rock in the river a while back..it's about the size of 2 fists together and has an elevated cloudy white ring all the way around it....oh, susquehanna river in upstate ny was the location...

Looks like a quartz vein that has weathered, the white line that is. What kinda rock the rest is.. Well not so easy to tell from a pic.
