Please help to identify this rock

Assuming all the pics are not of the same rosk/stone etc.. I feel the first image could be Iron ore or there abouts.. While a few other pics appera to be or to have combonations of several types of rock.. The most common color (Brown/rust) indecates that this could be magnetic (magnetite) or Iron ore and lets not forget that there is a small area of Quartz located in several ares of these pics.. thx for sharing

Many thanks wizard. Your assumption is correct. Only the first two pics are of the same rock. All the others are of different rocks. So base on your visual analysis none of them looks like gold ore?

Thank you for your input Indian Steve. I am located in New Orleans USA but the rocks were found in Haiti where a new gold rush is under way

Hum. gold never entered my mind, thou could be possibale but highly unlikely.. But one thing is clear.. there are a few other responces that have indecated that it's some type of ore.. and I'll agree.. Best.

Thanks everyone for your precious help. At this point I will search for someone in my area who can make a determination as to exactly what kind of rocks they are. Thanks again

Primary Interest:
Prospecting
rusty looking ones might be limonite.
Should scratch with a knife and on an unglazed piece of porcelain produce a brown-ish streak.
